Sketch Masterclass One-Day Workshop

Sketch is a new design tool that has become industry standard for UI/UX design.

Over the period of a day we will be taking a deep dive into Sketch. We will be covering everything from best practices for designing interfaces all the way to speeding up your workflow.

Later on in the day we will be using some of the most popular plugins to truly stretch Sketch to its limits. From creating mockups and animations all the way to publishing a responsive interface and extracting code that can be handed off to developers.

As this is a Masterclass we expect you to be somewhat familiar with Sketch or have taken the Introduction workshop with us. A list of plugins to install will be sent out closer to the date, please make sure you have them installed before the workshop.

Product Design One-Day Workshop

Our one day product design workshop takes our 10-week course and brings you the basics, taking you through the design process from start to finish and discussing everything you should think when creating a unique, intuitive and useful product.

We’ll talk you through our own process, covering initial strategy and research all the way through to launching your product and creating a product roadmap. We’ll cover the concepts, but also demonstrate the exercises and methods we use daily to push our products forward and make sure they’ll succeed and stand out. Topics and concepts you will learn about include product management, Agile, user research, and experience maps. After a full day of learning, you’ll be equipped with both the tools and the mindset needed to create an enjoyable, end-to-end user experience for your customers.

Over the period of a day we will cover everything from how to turn shapes and colours into interfaces to the benefits of symbols, text styles and plugins as well as how they can speed up your workflow.

Later on in the day we’ll taking what we’ve learned to make our own responsive interface then using Invision to turn it into a functioning prototype and Zeplin to make sure it’s developer ready.

Graphic Design One-Day Workshop
Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign are being used by creative professionals worldwide to create their wireframes, logos, web assets, and engaging print and digital materials. We are excited to launch this new workshop at Experience Haus.

In the Adobe Illustrator part of the workshop, you will learn how to use the software to create high quality illustrations, logos, and custom artwork. You will be introduced to the powerful Pen tool, transform existing shapes, and learn how to add color to drawn objects. You’ll also use layers to organize your artwork, and explore the options for exporting Illustrator files.

Following that, the students will be shown the skills needed to successfully create engaging print and digital materials in Adobe InDesign. Learn how to use InDesign to create master pages, work with text and type, create styles, and use graphics

This workshop covers essential skills for working in Illustrator and InDesign.

Conference - A Conversation About Design
