Product Design UX/UI

We cover a variety of topics across user experience and user interface design. These include research tactics, design thinking, product management, customer journeys, ideation and more. Take the course in either a ten week part time or one week intensive format.

Our Product Design courses pair students with live client projects to apply their learnings in a real world context.

Learn the end to end design process while working on a real project brief from a local startup. 10 weeks part-time or 1 week intensive.

We cover a variety of topics across user experience and user interface design. These include research tactics, design thinking, product management, customer journeys, ideation and more – all of which play an important role in making successful design decisions. The course features a client project with a local startup, which students work on independently.

The visual design section teaches industry leading tools (we use Sketch, Figma and Invision), and how to visualise solutions rooted in research and user testing. Students also learn how to implement best practices, conventions, and the latest design trends and guidelines into their work.

On the part time course the final project is presented in person to the entire class with the startup founders present. Students are asked to deliver a presentation summarising their journey, process, and work throughout the ten-week course. On the one week course students are shown how to document their work so it be presented as a case study and portfolio piece.

Learn by Doing

We’ll cover the concepts, but also demonstrate the exercises and methods we use daily to push our products forward and make sure they’ll succeed and stand out. Students will enjoy a mix of lectures and workshop time, where they will get to practice these methods and then apply them to their projects.

The final project is presented in person to the client, where students deliver a presentation summarising their journey, process, and work throughout the ten-week course.

In order to encourage discussion and collaboration we limit our class sizes to 8 students.
